Nasty Gal App Inspires Head-to-Toe Looks for Fashion-Forward Girls
Published on 13 Nov 2013
Nasty Gal may now be a global online destination for free-thinking girls, but the company started with more humble beginnings. In 2006, founder Sophia Amoruso launched an eBay store named Nasty Gal Vintage from her apartment in San Francisco. Inspired by the “Nasty Gal” album and song from Betty Davis, the online retailer now employs nearly 300 people between their headquarters in Los Angeles and Shepherdsville, Ky. From flea markets to showrooms, NastyGal’s buyers, stylists, designers and photographers collaborate to showcase a unique selection of handpicked vintage items and up-and-coming designers to inspire one-of-a-kind wardrobes. The Nasty Gal mobile app features the same fashion-forward, highly curated selection of vintage pieces. The app lets you browse an extensive selection of clothes, shoes, and accessories, in addition to their exclusive Nasty Gal private-label collection. The app also features a number of lookbooks to help you select the top picks.
